Our Story
In 1861, Daniel Davies formally began his apprenticeship in the Art of Printing. That commitment to knowledge, craftsmanship and pride in the printed page has been passed from one generation of the Davies family to the next.
Following Glyn's passing in 2025, his son Jonathan, now leads Glenside Printing as the fifth generation. Jonathan worked alongside his father for 42 years, learning the technical skills of printing and the values of quality, honesty and personal service that remain at the heart of the business.
Today, Jonathan and Mandy are building on those strong foundations by developing a more efficient, streamlined business while preserving the standards they had all built together.
Every printed document that leaves Glenside is more than just ink on paper. It is a lasting expression of a craft I have loved all my life and a reflection of the standards that have been passed from one generation to the next.

Glenside's relationship with the local community stretches back through generations and continues today.
This historic fire service photograph was taken outside Glenside. No member of the Davies family is pictured among the firemen, but the image reflects how Glenside opened its doors and grounds for official photographs, village events and summer fetes.
Today, Glenside supports Wattstown RFC, Penygraig RFC, Tylorstown RFC and the Rhondda Schools Rugby Initiative. The photograph shows Kieron Assaratti wearing a Glenside-sponsored rugby jersey during his early playing years.
